Note: The challenge will officially begin the first week of April, so the first photos will be due Sunday, April 4th, 2010!
Welcome to the daily weekly pic challenge! The rules are simple: each participant has to take a photo of substance each week and post it by 11:59pm Sunday night. The participant who keeps it up the longest wins. This time we’re going to try themes each week (we’ll round-robin through the participants and let each one pick a theme for a week) so photos must be within the theme, but are not otherwise judged.
Photos can either be posted here, or posted elsewhere (like Flickr or Picasa) and linked here. We only have 3GB of total storage for everyone, so please keep your photos reasonably sized if you’re going to store them here.
If for some reason you won’t have internet access (for example, going on vacation or business trip) you must post a notice ahead of time, continue taking weekly pictures, and post them upon your return.
Aside from the “lack of internet access” exception above, you cannot post a picture you did not take that week. For example, if you go on an outing and take 3 great pictures, they only count for that week — you cannot post them one at a time over the next 3 weeks.
A week is defined as Monday at 12:00am through Sunday at 11:59pm, so your photo for a given week must have been taken between those times. You can post it at any point during the week, but no later than Sunday at 11:59pm.
That’s it. If you have any questions, ask in a comment. Happy shooting!
Woops, now I read the official rules — got it.
I’m game! :)
Can we post pics that we have already taken they fit the weekly theme?
Pictures need to be taken that week. So for example, if photos are due to be posted on Sunday April 4th, then the earliest they could be taken would be Monday, March 29th (the beginning of that week). For the next due date, Sunday April 11th, the earliest photos could be taken is Monday April 5th. And so on.
