GreenBeanFX – Leonidas – 04-03-09

Leonidas

I really should of titled this laziness. I took a pic this morning of some clouds when I woke up..but I realized they sucked, so I didn’t want to bother posting em. Sooo at the last minute, 23:28 to be precise, I decided to whip out a Metal/bronze helmet that Chrissie and I bought when we were in Greece. Put it right above the printer of ours that happens to have a nifty blue light. (I was hoping for a red light for better effect, but alas, a lack.

1DMarkII 100mm 2seconds@f3.2 Didn’t even bother to use a tripod. Used a stack of books to stabilize it. No strobes, I used the LCD light output of my blackberry as well as my other cell phone for slight illumination. A truly poor man’s ghetto photoshoot =) Hence…’Lazy”

I think I used up a bunch of matches to get this bloody shot. I ended up having to go to 10fps and use luck to hopefully end up with something I liked.
I chose this one amongst the others because this one just looks so angry, vibrant, and bursting with energy.
The original intent was to get it right as it started to catch on fire, but logistically that was rather tricky.
